Great pictures. Amazing variety for a 20 x 20. Don't you have a Kishu too? I had a small fruit that came from right where you are. I think you shared some fruit with a friend and he shared some with Alan in Montgomery. Are some of your friends in Montgomery ? Alan gave me one fruit. Was that you ?

We have predicted lows of 22* F tonight with more cold weather coming.

Thanks Hershell 2013 was a alternate bearing year for the sunburst tangerine, blood moro, and ponkan mandarin. looking forward to 2014 will do pictures. In 2012 had over 120 fruit on tree. Was so happy with all the trees and didn't take not one picture. Sad All of the trees did have more just been giving bags away and eating and not taking pictures. Warm Jan and Feb 2013 caused the trees to start new growth and the temps dropped to 23 degrees and froze the new growth. It was so warm Nov-Jan I did not install my heater. I know better now. The large leaves were fine but the new growth didn't make it.....lol... Since there less fruit the trees has really grown. Must take the pictures and then eat ....lol

Hi Tom no Kishu only have 2 Washington navel, red navel, 3 ponkan mandarin, 4 meyer lemons, 4 ruby red grapefruit, bloomsweet grapefruit(thanks to Stan the man Mckenzie),blood moro, key lime in pot(don't want it but got it for $8.00 a large five gallon tree,2 sunburst tangerine, 1 of 2 Valencia( the ten gallon bought in 2010 gave me 11 very good oranges in the spring of 2012 and died late summer 2012. I might have killed it accidentally. Did some painting and the water from washing out the equipment and brushes went straight for that tree. I have to be careful of run off from different chemicals......lol

Tom those may be friends of this member TimM NE Bama. Go check out his pictures in this forum on page 4. He gave me the idea of using the hoop design for the front yard green house 16x9x10.6h. Wish I had talked to him before I spent all that money on treated lumber concrete and other supplies......could have saved over 700.00. Also on that page u will see the first pictures I posted.

Downsouthcitrus you must have had a fantastic year last year. So I guess you can answer my next question. How is the taste of the Sunburst compared to other tangerines? I am thinking about ordering some from Harris.

Hershell until I bought these tree I only ate navel oranges around Christmas. Drink citrus punch instead of oj....I like the blend of juices. Before 2010 the last time I had a tangerine probably was 1998 and they were horrible.....remembering as a child I guess they taste about the same. I notice the longer I let them stay on the tree they became sweeter....was to excited 2010 and 2011 I probably ate them to early. I try to go by the dates listed for the tree but I think it depends on the area and age of tree....lol.....bout to peel a bloomsweet only got about 8 this year. I want a Hamlin orange tree let them got away lowes and them in 2012 real nice tree was waiting on the Manager to call me about the big sale he told me about 3 weeks early. They had a very large drop shipment and this is not
a citrus area. So u can get trees sometimes 75 percent off....that's how I got several 10 gal trees reg price 79.95 sale price 18.75 had to get 4 bought 8 lol...the first nine trees paid reg. price 29.95 per five gallon tree. In 2010 bout 17 trees in the Jackson Clinton area and 3 from Stan the man Mckenzie. the next year I bought 5 five gallons for $8.00 each.....lol
Get some sunburst tangerine trees don't think you will be disappointed

in La. growing height is 15-20 ft. and the grapefruit 20-25 ft. They were on the news talking about the damage from the last Hurricane 2012.

Hey MarcV yes maybe a bit lighter as u see the color of the other fruit look true to color these pics and he ones I took years ago were taken with a Kodak DC265 in 2010 and 2012 to present with Kodak easyshare Z981. to Ask RyanL to post some pictures and see if the color is the same.....lol with 2 different camers same color unless it's a Kodak thing.....the DC265 was bought in 1999 cost $999.99 8 mb memory. 2012 easyshare $299.00 with 8 Gb memory both pictures size is 4.3mb had to size down for internet with no color loss. love the lower price and large memory cards.
