Those were fall T-buds that have been forced this spring-- I still have at least 5 cultivars that have not broken yet. I started spraying those buds with GA3-- a tip from buddinman. I also notched the stems above the graft on most of them as well.

Hi,

I've got some buds that just aren't breaking yet either. I've ordered some GA3. What concentration should I use on my buds? (The buds actually are much greener that they appear in this picture. I just took the picture late in the evening.)

I wouldn't spray with anything. Cut the rootstock about a inch above the T-bud & keep the sprouts removed from below.

Lazz is probably right since you have single stem seedlings-- I was dealing with limbs-- some of which were already cut off and some on trees I did not want to prune.

The GA did appear to work on several-- I used 10 ppm-- same as I used for setting fruit, but I sprayed some on the buds several times a week.
