dear citrus friends,

for those of you who are not living in Zone > 8b a citrus trellis could be a good alternativ for planting the semihardy citrusvarieties eg. Rustic, Carizzo , Hybrid US 119 or Ichangensis-hybrids. Mayself I planted some of those candidates which are not hardy enough for planting outside without protection. Advantage is that the rooting system has no limitation and the local climate near the wall is improved ( much stronger growing). On the other hand protection in Winter is very easy to install.

May be this can encourage you to try by yourselfe...
