Here is the p orange next to a duncan grapefruit:

P orange is sweet but watery. This is on a friend's tree. I topworked my p orange for watery taste.

The duncan grapefruit hasn't yet developed it's legendary taste. It will probably take until March for that!

I have both still hanging on my trees, let me get some photos later today.

Phil, I've never seen a seedless Duncan, you sure that isn't Marsh? Duncan is always one of the seedier grapefruit...

Hmmm...

Here's mine, Duncan on left & Panzarella on right.

Also I have never had a seedless Panzarella orange...

From John himself.

Quote:
PANZARELLA ORANGE: Several years ago two citrus trees came up in my compost pile and I let them grow and fruit. One became a large tree with oranges the size of grapefruit. The seeds are monoembronic which means they will not come true. The grapefuit size fruit ripens around Christmas time and is very juicy, but also very seedy. I don’t know who the parents are, but I suspect that the mother is Ujukitsu sweet lemon. One orange will pretty much fill a glass with juice.

MrTexas' Panzarella orange looks like a Golden Grapefruit to me, which definitely has watery taste. he gave me a bunch when I visited him earlier this year. However, the Goldens were not seedless either.

I got my Duncan from you, so if your Duncan turns out to be something else, please let me know!

In my tasting notes I wrote:

"Extremely juicy, dripping. Very mild to watery flavor. Slightly sweet with orange-like flavor, almost insipid."

Just my opinion. Maybe I brought home a less-than-optimal Golden.

I have yet to find someone who prefers the red over the a golden grapefruit when tasted side by side.
