What would be the ideal temperature range or season for starting citrus from cuttings or seeds? This would be done outside or in a west facing window inside. I can place the cuttings under the shade or a tree or shadecloth if it is done outside. I have noticed that some orange seeds do sprout under the orange tree but usually get munched on by the snails and die.

Also can someone please show me where the search feature is on the forums if it exists. It would help me find things on my own.
