I have considerable trunk space above and below the graft line. The graft union is nicely done and is barely noticeable. It is a ~ 2 year old Cara-Cara from 4WindsGrowers.

Can I t-bud some new varieties above and below the graft line? Where on the trunk (above or below) will increase my chance of t-bud sprouting? Is it even recommended to graft around the union/trunk?

I'm in a t-budding frenzy.... Very Happy

Thanks.

T-budding works best for me on pencil-sized round-green wood-- older wood that has started to turn woody looking is harder to work with, but it will work.
