Tom this top 10 ranking was listed in the paper a couple days ago. Personally it is also not how I would rank them either. I would place soccer in 9th place bellow golf, tennis, and motor sports, and add La Cross in there some place. Leave marshal arts out completely. How would you rank them? - Millet

Tough question. I was afraid you might ask. But for what it is worth here goes.

1. American Football. I was asked in New Zealand why it is called a grid iron !
2. Baseball
3. Basketball. I have been to 2 NBA games my whole life so maybe not really that high for me.
4. Golf. TV does not do it justice
5. Tennis. I played in college. Again much different in person.
6. Soccer. The sport I love to hate. Very unamerican. Not much scoring.
7. Track and Field. I'm still trying to understand how anybody can make a living in track and field.
8. Skiing. Any kind any where !
9. Skating. Any kind any where again.
10. Fishing. Probably not a sport but I would not put Motor Sports, Wrestling or Martial arts in the sports category.

Baseball and golf had more people in the top 100 last I saw a listing of top paid 100.

My daughter is close friends with the best looking woman La Crosse player in America. She played club at Tennessee but she has now graduated. Beautiful lady.

Tom

Tom as you can imagine in Colorado skiing/snow boarding is a gigantically huge sport. On a per person attendance count, it would be the # 1 sport in the state. Colorado has already had its first 3 snow storms of the season (in the mountains). A season ticket to ski Aspen resorts this coming ski season will be:

$1,649,00 if ticket is purchased before 9-13-13
$1,939.00 if ticket is purchased before 11-8-13
$1,999.00- if ticket is purchased after 11-8-13

Millet,

I watched my Pats first preseason game...they look pretty good again! (I think they'll go all the way every year though)

Looking forward to November 24th.

Crying or Very sad Wes, if you're a Citrus Grower and are reading this right now...we miss you! Crying or Very sad

It'll be fun to see what he and Peyton can do! How cool is it for him to get to receive for Tom and Peyton. (Wes, if you are reading this, I meant how cool is it that Tom and Peyton have had and are having a chance to throw to you) Hope he has some fun with it.

Also hope Tebow can have some fun in NE after what he had to put up with in NY. Might be an interesting year.

Millet, a friend brought me a good article on Welker in this week's Sports Illustrated. If you have a chance check it out.

Especially bad to wait for night games like that that start late during the work week when you're on the east coast.

In the end the best team won. Wes Welker did not look good at all on his return home. In the last 11 games where Peyton vs. Brady, Brady now has won 8 out of 11.- Millet

Bob, the way that game started I thought we were headed for a franchise record loss.

Weather was awful. I went outside earlier in the day to cut some hemlock boughs to protect some first year seedlings and as I cut them they blew away. Here in Maine we ended up with wind gusts to 40mph and lows settling in at 10F. It was a bit warmer down at Gillette Stadium, but I was really happy to be watching that game in front of a television and a fire.

You know football, the better team that day won. Next game who knows who'll show up. We lost a game this year to the Jets!
