I hate to say it, but the kudzu bug was first sighted in north Georgia in 2009. Although they won't admit it, researchers from the USDA were testing the bug out on kudzu near Athens and it escaped. Here is a map of the travels of the bug:

I'm originally from Manatee county FL but now live in mountains of NC; we don't have fire ants or dillos here, so I hope that don't mean my hardy citrus won't grow! No palmetta bushes neither. Go Gaters!
