Not sure what this is, maybe a type of stick bug? I found it on a tree that recently had a small mealybug infestation. I don't want to kill it if it is a predatory insect.

Looks like an Assassin bug. They are good bugs.

Thanks, that would make sense as I see a lot of those around here. This one looks a little different, but I know there are many varieties.
