Before I joined this forum I was unable to obtain Poincirus Trifoliata seeds for rootstocks. I had previously planted Calamondin seeds and then cleft grafted some of my other citrus varieties. After 2 years, those varieties that were cleft grafted onto calamondin rootstocks have grown with excellent results. For those of us who have potted citrus and that live outside the citrus belt, what is the advantage of using PT versus calamondins as rootstocks? Calamondins fruit year round and the seedlings take less time to mature versus PT.
