I had some room in the back of my greenhouse, so I purchase some additional grape vines. Yesterday the grapes arrived from Willis Orchards Company. I purchased Chardonnay, Merlot, Pinot Noir, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Zinfandel wine grapes, along with Thompson seedless, which will need to be grown inside my greenhouse, due to Colorado's severe winters. These varieties are not hardy. I also purchased three additional hardy varieties, Flame seedless table grape, along with 25 vines of Vanessa seedless, and 25 vines of Traminette which will be added to our already existing 15 year old one acre vineyard outside. - Millet (1,406-)

I wish Vitis Vinifera would do good here but the humidity is just too much for them. Uni. of Arkansas has some good crosses between Vitis Labrusca and Vinifera that do good in Alabama though. I may order some cuttings from Lon Rombough of "neptune" and "jupiter".

Morphinelover mentions Lon Rombough. For those who do not know much about grape culture, but would like to learn, Mr. Rombough's book is a good book to start out with. - Millet (1,406-)
