Anyone interested in signing a petition against cap and trade as well as a number of videos refuting global warming, this is a good website:

Probably not, but there are two problems with the government (ie "you and I"): 1) The left has taken over as the mouth piece for the nation and is feeding us garbage that goes unchallenged by us and the media. 2) Those who know better don't bother to challenge their proposals because we're too busy working and raising our families. Petitions are something that can be pointed to when the left make claims that "there's an overwhelming consensus" when in reality there's 31,486 American scientists who believe global warming is a farce. A number that was obtained by scientists who signed a petition. Hardly an "overwhelming consensus".

Saying that there are 31,486 scientists that don't believe that there is global warming is so far from the truth. The scientists are not saying there isn't global warming, in fact they are saying the climate is getting hotter and hotter. There conclusion is that they don't know the cause of global warming or that it is being caused by natural causes. Also, for every one scientist on that list there are many more that do believe it is cause by the billions of tons of CO2 that is being released by burning of fossil fuels.

Don't trust a source where the normal public can edit like wikepdia. That is the worst place you will be able to find correct and reliable source for scientific studies or findings _________________ South Texas gardener |

Your wrong on that. Wikipedia goes through checks and balances that makes sure things like that are kept to a minimum. Besides that, if you will look beside the quotes that these scientists made there will be numbers which will give you a way to look up there original quotes in there original publications on the bottom. If you can see any where there was someone quoted on what they said and it is different than what was said on the original document then I would be very, very surprised and that needs to be reported to Wikipedia. Look at the bottom where it says "references". Wikipedia doesn't make the news they just report it. |

So, you want to use these scientists to back up your claims until it is brought forth what they really said? These scientists are the ones Dauben was saying signed the sheet disputing global warming. That they did but the whole story wasn't told by Dauben. The whole story is that they did sign disputing global warming but is wasn't because they thought that global warming was a "farce", it was because they thought that the global warming was caused by things other than people or that they weren't sure what was causing the rapid rise in temperature. |

For some reason BBC code is made my post blank. Here it is with BBC Code disabled:
Saying that there are 31,486 scientists that don't believe that there is global warming is so far from the truth.
And this statement is based on what? Have you spoken to all 31,486 scientists that signed the petition project? But for the sake of argument, this is the one time I didn't put "anthropogenic" in front of global warming. At this point it should be implied. Yes, the earth gets warmer, then gets colder. It's the way it has always been since creation. The earth used to be much warmer than it is today.
The scientists are not saying there isn't global warming, in fact they are saying the climate is getting hotter and hotter.
I wouldn't have argued this in the past, but I'll argue it now and digress to the link provided earlier:
http://www.drroyspencer.com/latest-global-temperatures/
I also assume you didn't go to the link in my initial post or you would have seen scientists arguing that we're currently seeing GLOBAL COOLING.
There conclusion is that they don't know the cause of global warming or that it is being caused by natural causes. Also, for every one scientist on that list there are many more that do believe it is cause by the billions of tons of CO2 that is being released by burning of fossil fuels.
If we're going by numbers, my 31,486 scientists trump the ones on your list. All of which have signed the petition that there is NO scientific evidince that carbon dioxide, methane, etc will cause catastrophic heating of the earth's atmosphere. http://www.petitionproject.com/index.php
Face it Morphinelover, you want to believe in global warming like kids want to believe in Santa Clause. You need a cause to believe in and justify even when the facts don't support your theory.
In trying to figure out why liberals believe the things they do, I've gone from believing that they've been turned over to reprobate minds, to believing that they just need to have a cause to believe in. There's nothing wrong with having a cause, but just make sure you have one that is based on fact and not fiction.

You replying to my posts is no concern of mine but what is my concern is you erasing peoples posts just because they disagree with what you believe. I don't make up anything out of thin air and back up all that I say with a shortcut to the original documents or websites. I have just as much right to defend my opinions just like everyone else on here and haven't broken any rules while doing so. |

My Bhut Jolokia (the world's hottest Chili pepper) must now have 40 or 50 chilies on it at this time. However, after everyone ate one, they did not want any more. They said it was just to hot to eat - Millet (1,091-) |
