Having just read Hardy Citrus for the Southeast, I was wondering if anyone has experience with the Poncirus hybrid described under the name of "Dragon Lime" - supposedly a good quality dessert fruit with a sweet lime flavor and very few or no off-notes.
Thanks,

Don't believe everything you read. They are not quite as nasty as regular trifoliata, but dessert fruit? Not even close.

This is yet another example, as was the books description in another recent post of the Sunquat's "sweet" taste , of how the book "Hardy Citrus For The Southeast" describes the taste of cold hardy citrus fruit. - Millet

You may want to look here for some info and pics of Dragon Lime

The last time I talked to Stan I realized that I had been sampling them at when they were too ripe. They are best used (if you dare) when they are fully sized up but still green like a lime.
