Does the variegation cause an even better tasting fruit? Or is that just for the look of it? Does it happen frequently on the cara cara?[/quote]
Yes the variegation on Cara Cara is quite common, My tree is about 10 and has 4 variegated limbs and I have used several limbs to graft with. The fruit is smaller but it looks nice.I have not noticed a different taste because someone all ways picks them before they get ripe. I am not familiar with the two you have in question so I will have to let the experts answer that one. But there is all ways room for just one more small little tree so I have started building another 35 by 96 greenhouse (maby my wife wont even notice it) DONT LOL she might get suspicious. I like Pineapple orange, it is a beautiful tree with good fruit but I am looking for Ugly.
