Just saw that on the news, hope all from the Boston area are safe.

Very sad.
I think they are saying it was an attack and not accidental like previous reports. I really hope and pray there are no more. |

Not sure if it is confirmed or not, but the NY Post is reporting that they have a suspect in custody; a 20 yr old Saudi National that was also injured in the blasts. |

Just horrifying. Things could have been much, much worse, were it not for the very high number of medical first responders and paramedics at the finish line, along with several ambulances there, all stationed to serve the runners. So very sad, such an epic event for our country that has now been tarnished by this Godless act. Boston will rally, they are incredible people, and the perpetrators will be found. Let's just hope a "Southy" doesn't find them first, before law enforcement does. Otherwise, they'll have to dredge bay. _________________ Patty S.

The NY Post's report is erroneous, in their rush to "news". The Boston police said they have no arrest. - Millet |

I have heard on Fox News, they have a "person of interest" detained, but that person was badly burned during the explosion, so they are hospitalized. Nothing more than that, just used the term "detained" and "person of interest". _________________ Patty S.

Millet, you are correct. The NY Post rushed their story, I should have known better, when they were the only news outlet reporting this. But things were a little hectic yesterday, as I work in Boston.
Hoosier, I don't think the coward or cowards that did this would want to be found by the public in any of the many neighborhoods in Boston. |

You're right, Scott. My husband's family all grew up in Somerville. This coward would not want to venture into Somerville, either. He'd never come out, an "no one would no nuthin:. He would get his just deserves. Was listening to Bill O'Reilly last night and he was commenting that there were "a lot of very, very angry folks in Boston." Law enforcement better find this guy, first, before the good citizens of Boston do. _________________ Patty S.

Looks like, those attackers are two brothers originaly from Chechnya region. USA used to support that kind of "jihadist" in the past. |

Well, I'm home from work today... No issues near where I live, but all Public Transportation is shut-down, and most things in downtown Boston and the immediate surrounding towns to the north and west are under complete lock down.
Found out that suspect 1 was in the US for at least 3-4 years, he was apparently arrested for domestic violence in 2009. They were living in Cambridge MA, ~1.5 miles from where I used to live several years ago, and only a few hundred yards (if that) from where some friends of mine used to live (although I'm pretty confident that they did not overlap)
Hopefully they will get suspect 2 soon with out incident, there's no way he's getting far at this point.
They are interviewing a H.S. classmate of the younger one on TV now. |
