This lazy Sunday afternoon, I was invited by a friend who has a 17 year old grapefruit tree that has never bloomed nor fruited for him:

So we talk it over some few drinks, and discuss the terms of my services:

Meanwhile, while thinking about the terms, he made the offer more enticing:

Grafting never gets better than this!

The pool is heated by solar. Even though it is cold here, the effect of a water body is excellent to protect tropical plants during the winters of Zone 9.

Dang! I forgot again.

My original intent was to create a pictorial demo of step by step T-budding. But while up there in the ladder, I was in a race against time and forgot the whole thing. What i do is to cut out the T first, then cut out the bud and insert it immediately. The moment I start to cut out the T, I forget about the whole world and my only aim at that moment is to get the bud from the budwood to the destination T, the quickest possible time.

Next time, I will do a sacrificial demo, which means that it would take a lot of time for the bud to be inserted because of picture taking. Perhaps Benny might assist me by taking pictures in our coming budwood orders meeting.

Great pictures Joe! Your friend has a beautiful place and soon a truly unique citrus tree. I should add that I believe you have the budding/grafting titleship nailed down - you just need someone to handle the camera while you are busy with the grafts! (though you are doing right well by yourself!)

I can't wait to see a picture of your mult-graft persimmon in fruit. Thanks for sharing your knowledge and experiences.
