According to the article that I read this what happened. The water the lettuce was washed in contained polliwogs and these became fresh new frogs, right in the packages. So if you're looking for salad fixings with a little more body, then be sure and try this brand. Don't forget, it's the extra care that Mexican companies take that makes the difference - Millet

Around 10 yrs ago, people were getting sick from cantalope grown somewhere south. My friend from health dept here was on tv telling ppl to wash the melons first. She told me the migrants working in the fields picking them would not use bathrooms. They pooped & peed in the fields & probably used leaves after to clean. They did not wash their hands obviously. Of course, she did not say this on TV...just strongly advised to wash the fruits before cutting.
