Thanks for the link. There is some useful info there.
Rootstock evaluation requires very long term experiments. The article shows just how rare it is to be able to maintain a scientific programme for long enough to get comprehensive results. It struck me that the choice of rootstocks seems to be as much about the current 'fashion' as about any real knowledge.
