I'm a newbie to grafting citrus. I grew some Poncirus trifoliata from seeds. Aprox how old should those seedings be before I attempt to graft them. They are aprox 6" tall right now.

Age is not the key--size is. It is best to graft on seedlings that are about the size of a pencil to about 3/8 inch (10 mm).

Yeah size isn't the key to grafting. As long as you can insert the bud(t budding) your good.
I would recommend t budding it is by far the easiest to do, and if yournew and fail you can try again

I was not saying you can't graft on larger or even smaller trees or limbs, but it is increasingly difficult to do a T-bud on trees smaller than a pencil. Larger fast growing limbs are often eaiser, but it can be difficult to insert a bud in the hardened bark of a seedling that is larger than a 1/2 inch. So I still say it is best to graft seedlings when they are between pencil size and about 3/8 inch
