I have dwarf Nagami Kumquat tree. Changed to the CHC/moss mixture (thanks so much for the recommendations). Ever since, the tree looks 10 times better.

Couple times the tree flowered - recently I got some very tiny 'looking' kumquat buds/fruit..?

Anyway, I'm not sure if I'm watering too little..?, but the buds seem to dry off, dry out.

I have the pot Inside on a South-ish facing window - so the tree gets about ~3-4 good hours of direct sunlight.
Overall, I'd say the room is still fairly cool, 65 degree F - low 70s most of the time, sometimes warmer. I water about once a week - I have really good mixture now, so maybe I'm not watering enough, by what I've read?

I have used the Miracid fert. a couple times.

Thanks in advance

With a 4:1 or 3:1 CHC/peat mix you cannot over water your tree. Therefore, do not worry about over watering. That's the beauty of CHC , a tree growing in the above medium cannot be over watered. Remember, it is not the amount of water that damages or kills a tree, it is the lack of oxygen that causes all the problems. A CHC/peat medium provides plenty, gobs, oodles, of root zone oxygen. You can soak your tree in a larger bucket of water, over the entire night, and your tree will not have any problems, in fact will probably be better off. The problems you are inquiring about could possibly be cause by a lack of enough water, or it could also be very normal. A citrus tree will only retain the amount of fruit that the tree is capable of bringing to maturity. Lastly, because of the water's fast pass through during watering a CHC medium, a good method of watering is by soaking the tree in a larger bucket for 3 or four minutes. Good luck to you and your trees. - Millet (1,161-)

You are very close to damage called WLD (winter leaf drop) --that may be causing the dry buds.

You can read many post on the subject here, but the simple solution is to move your tree so that it does not get direct sun or heat the soil.
