a lot of my citrus new growth is coming in very crinkled. I cant see any bug or insect at all... searched many different times with a magnifying glass. could there be a deasese or bug that I cant see causing this. I just checked and the new growth on yet another tree is starting to curl then.. from there it always goes to crinkling.
I have 3-4 trees all doing this, help. please! worried. the new growth looks very healthy, except for the fact its crinkled

I have them on a few leaves of my trees too. Could be caused by thermal stress during leaf development. Also some bugs early on that have damaged or deformed the young tender leaves but moved on. Aphids for example can do such things, but later on these aphids are eaten by ladybugs and nowhere to be found but the leaves which has grown bigger is now crinkled or deformed.
thermal stress.... thats the one thing I've yet to hear anything about. Our weather here has gone through so awfully big changes. from 90's to 40's... in the same day. then overly chilly, rain for many days so I bring back inside and it gets to 85+ in the plants room.
We've figured out a few reasons,m but none seem to fit everything. Now... THIS... is the one thing that really can make sense

if the leaves have more than 80% green area, are not completely shaded, then they should be contributing members of canopy photosynthesis, no matter what the shape and has no bugs.
