It is surprising after years of growing citrus to learn a very basic fact that one would think should have been learned in the very beginning. I always thought the meaning of the word "Flavedo" was simply nothing more than an appellation for the orange color of the peel of the citrus fruit. However, I found out that it is deeper than a simple name. Flavedo has two meanings----Yellow, and Thin skin. - Millet

Thank you guys Very Happy
I often stumble over such terms.

"In citrus fruits, the flavedo constitutes the peripheral surface of the pericarp."
