OK Patty here's a photo for you. They have never had a navel, so I believe it is actually some other type of orange. Very good flavor, but seedy. Byron from Logee's sent me this tree years ago.

It ripens around early / mid December, so it's not a Valencia, and it's later & smaller than Hamlin... That being said, my variegated Cara cara never has a navel either but is definitely a Cara cara.

Oh, beautiful, Laaz! Interesting. Flesh is orange, so that would lead one to think this was not a variegated Cara Cara, but based on when it ripens, does sound like it could be a navel of some sort. I would love to know what the original source was, not sure why Logee's wants to keep this so secret, or perhaps, they just don't know. I just love the striped fruit, I think that is just so spectacular! Thanks for sharing Smile
