Ok, so I have about 15 citrus trees scattered about my house. Some have southern exposure, some dont. So far the only major leaf drop is on my Meyers..........Although given the length of day and sun angle in Massachusetts there is no new growth on any of the trees. I dont think this is surprising.
Anyway, what I am wondering is: Would the Meyers and the rest of the trees be better off in my 45 degree lightless basement for the months of Dec, Jan and early Feb. These are off course the low sun months. Seems like this would make for a lot less fuss..
BTW for what it is worth, I have mentioned I have various citrus OUTSIDE and very protected. These (I think due to the high humidy) are doing very well, with no leave loss. In fact as an experiment; I left some of my small potted citrus in the same enclosure, all look great, including a Meyer
any thoughts/comments
thanks Frank
