Laaz, speaking of Corona -- apparently the first human use of miracle fruit was by folks in west Africa, where they make a vile, sour beer from bananas. One can make the experience considerably less unpleasant (and therefore drink more) if one has a miracle fruit first. So it became a tradition. Now I don't recall where I first heard that story.

Yes I learned to cook in New Mexico.. My mom was busy working all the time so I often was over at a friends house learning to cook.. I like my food with lots of flavor!!!! and Lemons and limes are TOP of the list.. best "compliment" I've ever had on my cooking was told to my son. I cooked diner for the roofing crew that put on my roof a few years back.. One of the workers son *a friend of my son* said "Ronan if my mom cooked like this I'd be a LOT bigger!!" and he had thirds!! Laughing
I love spicing up my food.. and lemon is a good flavor BOOST to lots of dishes.. I can't wait till my Lemon tree is saving me a trip to the store..
Anyway.. I am very interested in this plant.. I did a search.. lots of pages about it being used as a diet aid.. I was surprised by one article on MSN about a cafe that is sugar free and serves a miracle fruit berry with each drink or desert...
any way.. here are a few links I thought were interesting..
