I was invited to talk about the basic technique of making high quality fruit wines that can be done by a typical backyard fruit grower. Edgar Valdivia is also finalizing a wine tasting event, featuring various recipes of Pitahaya (Dragon Fruit) wines that I made for this special event. Edgar was kind enough to send me several batches of vine-ripened Pitahaya fruits of various cultivars that he grew himself. For the wine tasting, I will also include various fruit wines from my yard as well as from the other commercial wineries that specializes in exotic organic wines.
Learn the basics of fruit wine making. One of the best ways to preserve the fruits of your labor is to turn them into wine. I'm so passionate to share the techniques to fellow fruit growers. It doesn't require major expense to make excellent fruit wines, but it demands passion and patience.
