I’m going to start pot-in-pot growing moving forward and wanted to reach out to see if anyone could offer some counsel before I get started buying gear. Anybody have any experience with this?

To start and as far as the actual pots go, I’m considering a durable fabric liner for the production pot an and injection molded mesh bottom pot for the socket pot. I’m little wary of the fabric liner for some reason but seems to be the best option. I don’t expect to be removing the production pot from the socket pot very often, probably the only reason that I would is to get my trees out of the weather – be it frost or hurricane.

Pot-in-pot culture is a good method of growing container trees outdoors. It also works great keeping container trees from blowing over in the wind.
