Last year I got through the winter by using Christmas lights on m Satsuma & Limequat on frost warning nights. the HOA complained about me keeping Christmas lights up past Jan. 1. They were deaf to my pleas that it was my frost prevention insurance.

I am thinking this year about lighting them with a 80 or 90 watt flood. If it gets really cold using the flood & a light sheet over them.

I'm concerned that the flood may put off too much heat in some areas & not be even enough in others.

What do you think, the even light of the Christmas lights & ignore the wrath of the HOA,

or

The intensity of the flood.

Lowes sells heat lamps that look like a flood lamp. They should do well for you.

You could also use heat tape--made for wrapping pipes.
