It was cute to see it, and there was actually a fist-sized fruit growing on one, but Lowes had some pineapples last night

but its encouraging to see more diverse fruit selections at the Big Box store.

I asked about Kelp Meal and they guy looked at me like i was a loon!

WalMart sells pineapple plants between $3.99-$15.99 depending on size and type or if on sale or clearance, if it has fruits or not. Sometimes Home Depot have them at between $10-$20. They are all in the indoor plants section.

UP here in Canada the only places that sell them are greenhouses and they can be up to $40 Can. it is nuts.

I could not be more happy that my citrus guy just gave me my pineapple... with a few pups... all growing great and theres a few new pups too. If I had to pay 20+ for a plant... other than my citrus... I wouldn't go for it... UNLESS I knew it would fruit for sure. no guarantees with my pineapples. No clue if I can even let them get to the size they need

sure be cool to see a fruiting one in person. just like with going to the citr\us greenhouse for the first time... all the citrus full of fruit... so... weird being in canada... but.. my goal is to get at least 5 other ppl as addicted as me... and that they can get at least 5 ppl addicted and so on... force our local greenhouses to start carrying more than a few cal's
