About 6 years ago, I ordered a few budsticks of Citremon ( LemonXTrifoliate) from the Florida Budwood folks. Its been a long hard road but this past spring, the little tree finally flowered. From these flowers, one single fruit held on. It is about the size of a 50 cent peice and has ridges like a mini pumpkin. Today, I decided to pick the fruit since it was a golden yellow. The rind has a very strong trifoliate scent leading me to believe the fruit would be terrible as well! To my surprise, the fruit has no trifoliate aftertaste and is plesantly sour much like a lemon. I will say that the citremon tree is very cold tolerant. Mine is out in the open on a ditch bank and has sailed thru lows of at least 13 F during its 5 years on my farm. Just thought I share my "citremon" experience with the rest of you citruholics!

Stan, I found citremon for sell as Bonsai trees. It said that the fruit is probably only semi-edible. Interesting.

Hi Terry, That is interesting. I dint think there were many of that citrus hybrid out and about. I rooted some cuttings from my tree this past summer and they appear to be vigourous growers.. much like lemons. The ones I rooted have really taken off.
