I'm looking at the claims of Klerk's greenhouse film with the infrared retention and anti-condensate additives and it sounds worth trying.

I'm thinking of buying through Hummert since they offer it in cut legths, but here is a discription of the product at Grower's Supply:
http://growerssupply.com/farm/supplies/prod1;gs1_greenhouse_covering_panels_1-gs1_greenhouse_films;pg107113.html

Does anyone have experience with this product? I'm considering this for over-wintering purposes only so I don't want their "cool" film.

Also, they describe light transmission of the product at 88% or diffused 52%. Does that mean it's available in an opaque version for "diffused" or what's that talking about?

Thanks!

The material is definitely translucent instead of opaque. The 88% total light transmission could be the total of what remained of direct light (ie, sunlight) that passed through plus the component of the original light that has diffused, gets converted over or scattered as it passed through.

The diffused light transmission of 52% means that it could transmit diffused light at 52%. In the atmosphere, we have primarily two types of light, the direct one from sunlight and the indirect or diffused one coming from the rest of the sky and the other surroundings. Think about the clouds blocking the sun during the day. The light that you still have is called diffused light and it has a different quality and intensity and so does not transmit well through their material, and thus it is only at 52% transmission.

I could be wrong but those are my guesses.
