I wasn't sure if you were talking about leaves or fruits!
I have several cal's that are about 3/4 inch diam. for a long time now, & still green. How big are yours?
Fruits turning yellow--- maybe too much water? _________________ Patty

Aup, the fruits. ill try to get pics later.
My old computer died so I dont have a disk drive for my old Mavica camera, but that means I can use Jerrys nice camera with a memory stick!
im not sure about the quats, they are in mostly CHC, and its been more dry than wet here. theyre not turning golden orange, more a just slightly yellow. |

My Cal has about 20 fruit on it, in various sizes. Alot look like they won't get to size at all, others are already there, but are super green. Last year this time, all my cals were all starting to turn nicely, then again, the fruit they had then develloped alot earlier then mine since it was with the growers. This year, I don't think they'll turn till february at this rate. Meyers won't be ready till next june at this rate (if they make it at all). Who cares, at least they have fruit!! _________________ ♣Gen

I have one cal just about to turn fully orange. its still slightly green. I just dont know why my fruits are so different than the fruits that were on it when I purchased it. they were double the size than the ones since. I wonder if its a fert issue or something else. Hoping its something easily remedied. Its my first tree to go from the flower to fruit stage while my owning it. ... or I should say its owning me. I've become enslaved by my citrus and other edibles.
The changing of color in citrus has to be my favorite site/time. better than the flowers and better than just anything. knowing its doing its job and such... all teh hard work paid itself off.
Have to let us know how the cals taste... I know for me, I absolutly love them frsh out of hand. mmm mmm good... but I love my sour stuff!
Will be growing more cals from seed... I love them so much and I've heard they are hard tyo root... so from seed is my next best optiion |
