I planted a Marisol Clementine, which I believe was a 2004 Florida variety release, in the ground inside my greenhouse (12 tall). The tree is grown on a 01705 rootstock. Does anyone know anything agout this rootstock? Is it a poncirus variety? Does this rootstock promote small or large trees? Thanks. - Millet

Good question. Maybe Stan or Dr. Manners would know. I have two Satsuma's I got from Stan this past summer that are on C-35 rootstock. It's too late to put them in the ground this year, but we will see how they stand up to the winter next year.

Hello Millet,

I do not belive that the number you mentioned is the rootstock name. May be it is an internal nursery ore breeders code for anything trifoliate.
E.g. like the CRC Numbers of the Riverside Citrus collection which you can find at the following link:

http://www.citrusvariety.ucr.edu/collection/index.html

In Spain Marisol is mainly grafted on Carizzo.

Regards

I've not heard that number being associated with a rootstock variety. Could be, but I don't know it.

Andy and Malcolm, thank you both. I have sense found that the tree is actually growing on Kinkoji rootstock. - Millet
