Picked up this lime tree in a hanging pot today. I know its okay to have some of the top roots partially exposed but this seemed like a little bit much. Should i put some fine mulch over it or some fine aggregate?

Yes, I would add some potting soil to the top or put it in a pot and out of the basket. Either way I would cover the roots.

The surface roots are feeder roots....so make sure they are covered.....I have some with roots near the trunk exposed a bit....believe that is ok.

Try sizing your photos down to about 800 px wide...

BTW, it's amazing how a tree this small can be so productive. It is constantly loaded with fruit in various stages of development.
