It looks like epidermal burn to me. Something that was splattered on the leaf ate up the waxy coating. Maybe a wayward whiff of bleach spray or something that you clean the outdoor furnitures, or deet spray, or contaminated water landed on that poor leaf... I wouldn't be worried about it. I would worry if all the leaves have it.

I agree with Joe. Last year a bunch of my trees planted near the driveway had leaves that developed leaves like that. I couldn't figure out what was happening... That is until I saw my wife washing her car and the spray of water and chemicals splashing on the same leaves. Once we moved her car wash area the problem went away.

Well, now that I think about it...
I was spraying Wasp Killer on a nest that was inside the track of my patio door a few days ago...
I'll bet that some of that spray drifted over and settled on a few of the leaves on my little tree.
