come down this morning and something has been eating my lime trees leaves, what would it be and what is the cure? please help i dont want the rest to get it or what?

May be a picture could help.
Is it full leaves, hedge or middle that are bitten? |

camera is in for repair - its just an indoor house plant with chunks missing from the sides - cant see any bugs on the plant.... |

It might be slugs. Check underneath the pot to see if they're hiding there. Or it might be moth caterpillars, they look like twigs hanging next to the leaves. |

Without knowing what the cause is it's hard to recommend anything, especially for indoors where you can't use any harsh chemicals or poisons. Try and find the culprit then do an internet search for an organic method of control. Good luck! |

i notice today i see some leaves with a small whole in the middel of the leaves what might be causing this or what treatment is needed.....is it okay to use soap and water while trees are buding, blooming or adding new growth....help.....lol....thanks _________________ grow grow grow |

Do you happen to have any pets? I have a Border Collie who seems obsessed with nibbling on my citrus leaves. By looking at them, you'd think a caterpillar had munched his way along the leaves.
As for a spray, you should look around at local garden centers (or online) for Neem Oil. It's an organic spray that has worked really well for things like scale and mealy bugs on my plants. I wouldn't use anything like dish soap, as they can be toxic to plants. |
