When my roses are in bloom, spring has sprung. This walkway leads to our front door, and roses in full bloom will greet you with a smile each day.

That's also about the time I first turned on my irrigation system.

And somewhere over here is my "vicious" dog named Fizzy boy to guard against tiny insects like aphids?

"Habitat For Humanity" rose under the blooms of Meyer lemons. These are heavenly in real life to me.

"Habitat for humanity" and Brandy roses vying for my attention under the Meyer. The mixture of various floral aromas are a wonderful blend for the sensations.

"Sunny Dew" mini tree rose. Been too tempting to graft these with multi-colored ones but so far have restrained myself. It is very beautiful as it is.

American Beauty Rose, perfect for its red petals, long lasting flowers, I love this kind of rose.

The purplish one is Blue Girl rose.

And the pots below are my newly germinated seedlings of Flying Dragon.

You knew my plans for these.

I have plenty more rose cultivars, and I know them by name, much better than my wife can identify them. those were the ones that caught my attention this morning while waiting for my carpool.

Here's my roses when they were still younger:

Wow, thanks for sharing, this has been a very difficult afternoon here at work and this was just what the doctor ordered, how beautiful!!! I had the opportunity to visit LA last November and I liked the state, just couldn't get past the traffic. How wonderful to be able to have all that beauty outside your front door! KUDOS

Joe:
You have an awesome collection of roses.
It's a lot of work to keep them all pretty like that. Right?
I use to have a collection but the aphids are so plentiful out here I could not keep up.
At least with my citrus I am still ahead of them.
