I had planned on purchasing a bottle of Dynamite with minors for my citrus as my slow release and had a question not quite clearly answered here. The NPK rations for 2 types of Dynamite products are: All purpose Select 15-5-9 and Palm and Citrus 13-5-11 and I was just curious which one specifically would be best to use? They are both pretty close to the 5-1-3 ratio and it actually appears that the 15-5-9 might be a little better since citrus trees are heavy nitrogen feeders? From the comments posted it appears the All Purpose Select might be better than the one specifically formulated for palms and citrus? Just making sure, thats all.

I was just doing a little research on fertilizers and came across an interesting link. It's the Washington State Department of Argiculture's database for fertilizers sold within the State. I bet many other States have this information available online, but this was the first one I came across. It is just a little bit more information than most fertilizer companys websites usually provide (regarding composition) which I thought some people might find useful.

Just out of curiosity, what is the benefit of having arsenic in fertilizer? I noticed that it occured in all of the products I was looking up usually between the ranges of 2-5.6 parts per million. Is arsenic added to preserve the product or would those be natually occuring levels? Just curious.

I think the arsenic is present only as an impurity, and not actually added. Looking over your link at the fertilizers supplied by Jack's (which is J.R. Peters, Inc.) they do not sell their 25-5-15 W/Trace minerals within the state of Washington. It is a new formulation, perhaps it just has not been added to the list yet. Jack's 25-5-15 is the fertilizer I use, as it provides the perfect 5-1-3 ratio. ( Millet 1,387-)
