I was looking for Vaniglia Sanguigno and found it available from Growquest growers. After ordering it, I find that they have a terrible reputation. Does anyone know about them? Should I cancel my order?
Also getting a warning about https://www.fourwindsgrowers.com/ is an untrusted connection.
Thanks,
Alan (hardyvermont) |

Years ago I had a very bad experience with Growquest. They had my money without sending the plant(s). I called and sent letters to the owner Chris and kept getting fed a line of BS. Eventually I went through the County DA's office who had collected numerous complaints and through this route eventually got my money back.

Thanks,
I used Paypal and requested a refund within two hours. Paypal threw it back to the seller, who refunded the purchase and I now have my money back.
However I would still like to buy a plant. Chris does not require payment until the plant is received so I may go that route.
Logees only has them in 4 inch pots. |

Myself and MANY MANY members of this forum, and the public in general have done business with Four Winds Growers without a problem. Four Winds Growers is a respected company that has long given excellent and trustful service to citrus loving public. - Millet |

I too have ordered from Fourwindsgrowers and have nothing but respect for them. Good quality trees and fast shipping.
I made an order from growquest once and waited for a response. I waited for six months and then I cancelled the order. Waste of time. _________________ Okay, I don't need any more trees. Look! Another tree for sale!!! |

Personally, I would avoid Growquest. I had a poor experience with them nearly 10 years ago. It is surprising they are still in business. You should check their Garden Watchdog reviews: 113 positive, 26 neutral, 274 negative!!! dating back to 2004.
The Vaniglia Sanguigno from Logee's should be grafted (unlike most of the citrus they sell that are rooted cuttings). Last time I was at Logee's their grafted trees appeared to be similar in size to the 1 yr old trees from Four Winds. |

Logees have a lot of great plants, their service is good, and the people are friendly. I've bought quite a few plants from them without a single problem. When it comes to citrus, and many of the other fruit trees that they offer for sale to the public is when a "problem" shows up. And that is that most of their trees are sold as small 2" or 4" container sized trees. Five gallon container trees, for just a few dollars more, can be found at most any nursery. - Millet |

Four Winds Growers contacted me and said that the warning about an untrusted connection was coming up on some programs. They were working to fix it.
I just purchased Millsweet Acidless Limetta from them. Does anyone have comments about this plant? |
