I have a mystery blood orange and hope someone can help with a possible identification.

My mystery blood orange is labeled "Hamlin (seedless orange)". From the tag, I think I got it at Lowe's. Last year it had two fruits, which my wife ate while I was out of town. She said it was a blood orange, but I told her I knew it was a Hamlin, as I had just checked the tag.

This year it has about a bushel of fruit, and it is definitely a blood orange. My other three blood oranges had no fruit, two fruit, and four fruit this year. To say the least, this tree is a pleasant surprise.

I can tell you it isn't any naval orange but I'm sure you have already figured that out because navals don't have seeds.

Yes, navel oranges from California grown in a solid block don't have seeds. But, navel orange grown with other citrus have a few seeds in each fruit. I've found 4-6 seeds in each washington navel I've grown this year.

I learned something there. I thought navals were seedless regardless if they were pollinated by other citrus or not.

Yes, I am sure it is not a navel. But, what variety of blood orange is it?
