Hi Skeet, When I used Potassium Nitrate as a foliar spray, I use one level tablespoon per gallon, and spray in the morning or evening. However, I have sense found that better results are obtained by applying 100-300 grams per tree (depending on the size of the tree) as a ground fertilizer application approximately 3 to 6 weeks before the expected bloom period. Spread the fertilizer under the tree just out to beyond the drip line. For container trees foliar spray or apply a soil application at 250-300 PPM. Potassium is very soluble, a rain storm can literally leach out 25+ percent of the potassium directly from the tree's leaves. Gratefully, as most of the potassium is washed out of the leaves, it drips down to the soil and is reabsorbed by the root system. This cycle can happen over and over. - Millet
