I guess I'll have to start with this one..
It is one of the persimmons I grafted last year.. the smaller fruit is from the native tree.. I put it there to compare size.. Even though the native fruit has been VERY large this year..

I was going to get more pictures taken this week but my brother kidnapped me and took me to Farmington NM Wed.. Did not tell me what to pack... in route let me know I was going to a weding.. His oldest got married!!!
So I will try and get more pics taken..
Here is my puppy with his favorite treat.. Cara Cara!! Smart puppy!!!

Don't try to take his Cara Cara he will take off your hand!! Wink

What a cute puppy. That's so funny- don't take his Cara Cara or he'll take your hand!

Congrats on the fruit! I have only one fruit on the Jiro I grafted last year--looking forward to tasting it.

Both grafts I put on this year have done well, at least a foot of growth on the Hana Gosho and the Suruga.

I am sold on the bark grafting.. Of the grafts I just did on Avocado the bark graft is doing best...
I think there are 3 or 4 fruit on that persimmon!! It was the only one I pretty much topped the tree to graft it.. But it was the only one small enough to do like that.. Maybe it is the variety?? (Don't recall what it is right now) but it has twice the growth the other grafts do..

I took the camera out and realized what a mess every thing looks so I was rearranging EVERY thing today.. and have more work to do tomorrow..
Hope by this week end I will have more pics to share!!

That puppy loves just about any kind of citrus.. I have to restrict him to only one slice.. other wise he would fill up on nothing but citrus.. His top fav is Cara Cara though..

When did you do the Avocado? I tried several last fall (Nov)--the only one I think took was a bark graft that got broke off during covering for the freeze.

Skeeter,
I think I did the Avocado grafts mid June.. The T-buds were still green but the host is brown everywhere but where the grafting tape was.. Think it dried out too much.. The bark graft still looks green..

I have photos taken of my other plants but haven't uploaded them yet..

Best laid plans of mice and men........... Women TOO.. Wink
With any luck I might get them uploaded this weekend..

Thanks!!
The Cali gold is the one I got from Joe.. I was suprised when I saw the red midrib.. I was hoping maybe it was some sign it was getting mature enough it might fruit.. though I don't want it to start that so late now.. I plan to dig it up and transplant to a pot this week end or next and ship Laaz his pup.. Could the red midrib be from the cooler temps?
I think I have the only banananas in town.. I saw some in Coffeyville today when I was there to watch my daughters Tennis tournement.. I didn't go much of any where (where the flood hit) It is too depressing to see the two dozen houses in my neighborhood empty to go and see the empty houses there.. But where I did go I saw nanners all over the place.. Hubby was starting to think I was going to get whiplash!! LOL

I can thank many citrus friends for my lovely collection!!!!!
I still have three trees I bought from Stan.. Most of the rest are generous trades, purchases and gifts from very dear friends!!! Very Happy Very Happy

Your plants look nice and healthy, Gina.
Is your Mom's bush a wild one? We had something very similar in WI but I can't think of the name of it. (senior moment)

Maybe a grey dogwood??
