Citrus Expo 2010

2010 Southeastern Citrus Expo: This years Expo will be held in Wilmington, N.C. at the New Hanover County Arboretum located at 6206 Oleander Drive. Host for this years Expo will be two members of the Citrus Forum, Terry Reed and Tim Armstrong. Speakers will include Ken Wilkes who will do a presentation on soils and Tim Armstrong who will speak on climate data for various areas of the Southeast and on the history of severe freezes that have affected the area over the past 30 years. There is also a possibility that Dr Malcomn Manners, citrus expert from Florida will be giving a lecture as well. As in the past, there will be a fruit contest and plant sale conducted on the day of the Expo. This years Citruholics Banquet will be held on Friday night at 7:30 PM at the Dockside Restaurant located at 1308 Arlie Rd. Wilmington. The Restaurant has a private room located on the upper level of the restaurant with a great view of the Intercoastal waterway.
