I planted seeds from pomagrantes that I ordered online a few weeks ago and was wondering is fall a good time to start them, i thought they would have sprouted by now but no they haven't. I keep them moist and on a heating pad what i am doing wrong or should i just be patient?

poms are not the best to start from seed. everything I've read on here and on other forums the fruit will be poor quality Sad best to try a cutting or whatnot. I can get you a cutting from mine, if you'd like

Citrus Canuck is correct. Pomegranates can be raised from seed, but may not come true. Usually pomegranate trees propagated from seeds produce fruit of poor quality. Cuttings root easily and plants from them bear fruit after about 3 years. Twelve to 20 inches long cuttings should be taken in winter from mature, one-year old wood. The leaves should be removed and the cuttings treated with rooting hormone and inserted about two-thirds their length into the soil or into some other warm rooting medium. Plants can also be air-layered but grafting is seldom successful. It is not worth your time or effort to grow a pomegranate from seed, as you would probably be disappointed with the results. - Millet
