I'm curious to know members top 5 things to know, do, have when it comes to citrus and care. could be supplies or ? just what first comes to mind when you think of someone new to citrus. Think back and what were the 5 things you wished you had known or had?

Just be nice to compile a good sized list for myself and others just starting out

Well draining medium.
The correct fertilizer.

one thing I'm happy I had, have is my forums. Not sure what I'd do without all the help I've recieved... and I've yet to even purchase my trees!

The forums are the #1 thing I could recomend to ppl, and have. Its the one stop source for all your questions.

um.... 1) a strapping young lad to build me a greenhouse,
2) a great place to find tree pots that are deep but wont tip over
3) a touch more patience to wait for the wisdom of all you great people when I ask a question....

Id get some well draining medium and some acid fert with minors before you start. I think starting with some sad cheap trees for a few months, and my own seedlings, has probably saved me serious heartache and money.
