My lime tree gets buds and then what appears to be a baby lime. They promptly fall off. I got a few in the spring that disappeared and assumed it was squirells or chipmunks. But when I brought it in for the winter it budded like crazy and then dropped the baby limes again
Any suggestions?

Hi Raynkel, this could happen from a sudden change in environment. Where do you live BTW? My lime has a TON of blooms & babies & it's normal for them to drop most baby fruits. Mine are dropping too, but it's normal to a degree. It will get colder in my sunroom so I expect to lose more & maybe all when it does. What air temp are you at? _________________ Patty

Also, how old is the tree, are the leaves in good conditon? dropping any leaves? last time you fertilized?
sometimes young trees just dont set well.
Good luck! |

I live in Pennsylvania. Outside during the spring I only got a few flowers and a few babies. They all fell off. Once I brought it into the sunroom it went crazy. We only keep our sun room at 55, so I brought it inside when it started the blooming frenzy. We keep our house around 68 during the day and 58 at might. It is sitting in front of a really sunny window right now. |

No idea how old, it came with the house when we bought it. It is currently about 3 feet tall. The leaves seem to be in great condition with lots of new growth. I have not fertilized in a while. Miracle Grow w/Acid is recommeded, correct?
On another note, I also inherited a couple other plants that I have no idea what they are. I should post them on some forum to find out. |

Yes, please post pics of your plants here in 'container citrus'. Of all the other forums, you most likely will have someone ID your plants here.
Also, if you can keep the soil temps above 55*, it will grow fine. If 55 or below, it will not grow...it'll be dormant. If it's dormant, do NOT fertilize. _________________ Patty
