I found a fallen fruit in my container of cactus today. The Ponderosa lemon, while relatively small for this variety, had snapped the plastic plant label in half, smashed into a woody stem of the cactus breaking it in two places scattering broken plant segments into and around the pot. It fell from a height of five feet. In the future I may have to rig some support for the fruit, maybe using mesh bags, to avoid such a mishap.

Do you have an interesting story? I'd like to hear it.

Picking Key limes in a wind storm can be hazardous to your health, especially if the tree is in a container.

Had my hand in the middle of the tree picking fruit when a big gust of wind blew the silly thing over on me. Nineteen punctures on my forearm later I was able to extract my hand.
