After visiting Nevada and Utah, we went to see our relatives in Idaho and was curious of what's there in Hell's Canyon National Park.

On our way we stopped by for breakfast on the Gateway to Hell's Canyon.

Very friendly restaurant with excellent service. We had burritos, pancakes, and omelets, all have potatoes in them! But all tasted good.

On our way to Hell's Canyon. It is America's deepest gorge and a beautiful river runs through it:

Finally got there and looked around to enjoy this often overlooked national park just because of the name. Believe me, it is quite heavenly and quiet in there.

Canada-America Border

Behind this Welcome Sign at the border is a real hell of a wait in going back into the US.

There are some really nice parks out there and they are often overlooked. We went to several state parks on Maui when we went to Hawaii-- Iao state park was my favorite, it is small but beautiful.

Thanks for sharing Joe.

Yes, we went fishing for a good 15 minutes on Lake Echo, about 2 blocks away from my friend's house in Washington. I just practically showed him how to operate his rod and reel and how to adjust the drag properly. So no fish that day.

We did enjoy some excellent fried fresh halibut that day, at about $24 per two slices per meal, truly awesome tasting fish, which is still a lot cheaper than going on a fishing boat.

So I can say we went fishing, LOL.

The eastern states would be our next target whenever opportunity allows. So you guys over there will get notified... And be sure of that, I always have my grafting and fishing gear with me.

Joe,
Any time you want.. Fishing and if season is right hunting as well.. I've seen lots of turkey and deer out at the farm.. Probably helps that brother keeps a feed station well stocked by the upper pond..
Called mom this am.. she said brother tried to do some grafting on pecan trees... from the sounds of things.. I need to get out there and give him a bit of advice... I will print out tutorials and take to him.. when heat gets back down I'm going to go out and try to give demo so he can learn.. My hand should be in good enough shape for it.. bro will do most of the work any way.. Need to get back in the hang of it some time.. pecan will be a good place to start I guess.. and plenty to mess up out there and not be out any thing..
The grafting I did there is doing great.. pecans and persimmons are doing good.. Bugs are real bad this yr.. and with the late freeze there will be no harvest this fall.. Hopefully next yr everything will make up for it and then some..

I look forward to getting to meet you!!

Gina *BabyBlue* *BlueBodet* (I'll leave a light on)
