Anyone have any seed for T. R. Hovey papaya ? Looks like a small variety with good quality fruit.

When I was growing Papayas , one of the varieties (don't remember its name) but it produced nice size fruit and the plant only grew to about 3 - 4 ft tall. I'm sure you can easily find it on Aloha Seeds web site. http://www.alohaseed.com/

Thanks Bob. That may be the T.R. Hovey which is said to grow to about the same size.

Thanks for this thread I didn't know you could get dwarf papaya trees, their tall height was the one thing that stopped me trying to grow them.

Earlier this year I was shopping for papaya seed. I called Aloha because Millet had recommended them for Tainung seeds. I ordered Tainung seeds but they told me then they did not have TR Hovey. Later, I bought a small TR plant from Logee's. Not large enough to fruit yet.
I brings to mind a question I had been wondering- do papaya seeds grow true to variety?
