I have a Ponakn mandarin that I received from Briteleaf, which of course is in a one gallon container. When is the best time of day to repot? It definately needs it. I pulled out of the container for a moment and ... oh my aaaalllllll roots. Is it best to transplant at night or in the morning? I had not thought of that when I transplanted my Valencia, but then it was in a 5 gallon pot. This one is more delicate. So that's it, didn't know if there is any particular benefit as to the time of the day to transplant.

Here is a picture of my Ponkan.

Thank you.

cute tree! I just repotted my HB Pumelo, from Lowes. It was super potbound! I wasnt 100% gentle with it, washed a good ammount of potting mix out, and un-crossed some of the roots, trying not to be brutal.

I repotted in the late afternoon, watered real good, left her outside for a few hours (it was 80 here!) and brought in before it got cool. Didnt wilt a bit. I was amazed.

If you want to repot in the AM, theres nothing wrong with that, just have somewhere shaded to rest it for 1-2 days. Repotting then putting in full sunlight is possibly traumatic. good luck!

Nice looking tree Disneygirl! I never heard anyone mention if there's a better time of day to repot. I've done it all times.
Did you ever get to that Walmart on 27 in Clermont???

Thanks. I can't wait for fruit, but I'll be patient. Actually I think I went there the day after you told me it was walmart. They didn't have anything good to buy. Funny thing is I always check in walmart whenI go in there, which is usually once a week.

Thanks again. I think I'll transplant tomorrow morning after bringing the kids to school. It is an indoor tree for now. The Valencia Finally made it to a full time ourdoors tree. Which is a good thing because it is heavy. I'll only bring it in if there is a storm.
